Fountain of Youth Senior Wellness Program

Fountain of Youth Senior Wellness Program has been developed to provide increased vigilance of your pet's condition as it matures in its golden years. Our human medical doctors recommend more medical/preventative exams as we get older, so why not stay on top of your pet's health as it gets older?

When your pet reaches eight years of age the Essex Middle River Veterinary Center will recommend your pet "join" our senior wellness program. We want to see your older pet every six months, instead of annually, for thorough examination, routine bloodwork, urine tests, blood pressure checks, etc., to better identify and treat any age related problem, ultimately improving the quality and longevity of your pet's life!

Every month the staff will choose a senior pet that is enrolled in the Fountain of Youth program to feature on the special "Senior Pet of the Month" page.
